who we are
Hello! We are Michael and Nicola, and we share a love for efficiency, logic, the outdoors, teaching, laughing, serving, and learning. After Nicola completed her Ph.D. in applied statistics and Michael earned his Master's in Data Science, we started a mom-and-pop data consulting company designed to serve our local community. Nicola's expertise with statistical consulting and data science education complements Michael's skills in computer science and data management. We both draw from our experience as teachers to make results clear and understandable to a broad audience.
Nicola Justice
Nicola earned a doctoral degree in Quantitative Methods in Education (think: applied statistics) with a minor in theoretical statistics and an emphasis in statistics education. She serves as a statistics consultant in many contexts: biology, psychology, business, education, non-profit organizations and for-profit organizations. Her expertise involves survey design and analysis, data visualization, and communication of statistical ideas.
Nicola has over 17 years of experience teaching college-level mathematics and statistics.
Michael Justice
Michael earned a master’s degree in Data Science from the University of Minnesota. He worked in the private sector for companies in education and health sciences conducting data analysis, helping leaders understand and interpret reports, and improving efficiency by automating data collection and reporting. He also has over 14 years of experience teaching high school and middle school computer science, statistics, and mathematics.
Michael loves spending evenings tackling various problems on his fun projects involving data scraping and coding. Here is an example of one of his data scraping projects.
